| NELSON® WATERLINE INSULATION provides maximum protection against waterline freeze-up. Use Nelson Waterline Insulation with Nelson Automatic Waterers or for other applications. Urethane insulation consists of urethane foam molded around a 3" ID PVC pipe. The insulation measures 5.96" OD x 4’ long. It is designed to be cut to length with a hand saw and inserted in 6" ID PVC pipe. The insulation has an R factor of 6.7 ensuring you maximum freeze protection. Fire retardant foam system conforms to UL 94 HF-1. A popular application for Nelson Waterline Insulation is with the Nelson 700 Series Wall Mount Waterers. Insert the insulation over the portion of the waterline which is exposed to the cold - that portion which extends below frost line to the bottom of the waterer. The insulation helps retain both ground heat and heat present in the waterline to provide maximum freeze protection. PVC pipe helps protect the waterline and insulation from kicks and other abuse.
