| NELSON® AUTOMATIC WATERERS employ an exclusive operating system which provides your livestock with every drink. A stainless steel drinking bowl is balanced on one end of a beam with a lead weight on the other end. As an animal drinks, the system becomes out of balance, causing the beam to tilt and open the water valve. Fresh water refills the bowl, returning the bowl to its original position and automatically closing the valve. There are no floats or paddles to cause problems. Cleaning the Nelson® 700 Series Waterer is fast and easy. By simply removing the cover and locking the beam lock lever, the stainless steel drinking bowl can be removed for cleaning or sterilizing. It takes less than 30 seconds and you don’t even get your hands wet. For cold weather installation, Nelson’s electric heater heats both the bowl and valve for freeze proof protection. Several unique features keep your energy costs low: 1) only a small amount of water is being heated 2) a pre-set thermostat switches the heater on only when necessary and 3) high density polyethylene insulation lines the entire housing, keeping heat in during the winter...keeping heat out in the summer. The electric heater and thermostat are so reliable they carry a full three year warranty. Nelson® Livestock Waterers are designed to provide years of reliable service. Waterers housing are available in economical, super-tough aluminum or corrosion resistant stainless steel. Nelson Waterers are U.L. Listed, CSA Approved and U.S. Government Approved Non-siphoning. Backed by Warranty Nelson Manufacturing Company will repair, or at its option, replace without charge, any parts found defective upon examination at the factory if returned within the guarantee period, transportation charges prepaid. Replacement shipment will be made, transportation charges prepaid. Nelson waterers are guaranteed against defects in workmanship and/or materials for one year. Nelson heaters and thermostats are guaranteed against defects in workmanship and/or materials for three years. Not recommended for hogs. Use Nelson® 300 Series for hogs.
